Portable denies fighting with Ogun state officials, says its just Allegations

Controversial singer Portable has denied accusations of attacking   Ogun State   officials who sealed his bar and uncompleted building. In a video shared on social media, Portable claimed he was asleep when the officials arrived and did not engage in any physical altercation. Portable alleged that the officials not only sealed his businesses but also destroyed his bar.  He emphasised that he did not fight anyone and challenged the officials to provide proof of their allegations. Nigeria and   Bahrain  at the weekend engaged in bilateral discussions on diplomatic and direct foreign investment. Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, announced the diplomatic relations when he Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain at the weekend A statement by his media aide, Alkasim Abdulkadir, said Tuggar engaged in bilateral discussions with his Bahraini counterpart, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. Ogun State Government has strongly condemned singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, following his recent violent encounter with officials from the State Planning and Development Permit Authority. The Incident took place at Portable’s bar in the Iyana Ilogbo area of Sango Ota where government officials were attacked while performing their duties. In a statement released by the Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, on Friday, Portable was described as a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal,” known for assaulting government officials without provocation. Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye has joined the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood. Kennedy joined Nollywood a few months after being sacked by President Bola Tinubu. DAILY POST reports that Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye was appointed as minister in August 2023, and removed alongside four others in a cabinet reshuffle on October 23, 2024. The 51-year-old politician has now shifted her focus to filmmaking barely four months after her removal from the cabinet. Announcing her acting career on her X handle, the former minister shared a video of her latest project. Kennedy who is also a lawyer and entrepreneur, joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2015 and emerged the party’s first female presidential aspirant in 2023, before ultimately withdrawing to support Tinubu.

American music producer Gotti is dead

Irv Gotti, the famous American music producer, has passed away at the age of 54. Gotti died in New York City on Wednesday after months of battling a stroke. DAILY POST reports that the record producer was admitted to a recovery centre in August 2024 and had to walk with the aid of a cane. He was said to have lost a significant amount of weight following his battle with diabetes complications, which led to a minor stroke last year. Mother & Child Killed As Chieftaincy Dispute Turns Deadly In Nasarawa

A violent chieftaincy dispute in the Odu electoral ward of the Maraba Udege Development Area in Nasarawa Local Government Area has left a mother and her child dead and forced the displacement of many residents. It was gathered that the deadly incident occurred as rival factions from the Afor communities of Angwan Dutse and Angwan Kasa clashed over disputed land ownership. However, the ensuing violence did not only claim lives but also resulted in the burning of many homes. Meanwhile, the Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule paid a visit to the affected communities on Wednesday. “As a government, we had to decide for the peace of the land.
